Prawn Masala/Fry


Prawn Masala/Fry  [ Normally served with Rice  & Chapatti]

Ingredients:

Prawns
½  Kg
Onion
2  Big
Bangalore Tomato
2  Small
Ginger –Garlic paste
1  tsp
Turmeric
Little
Red chilly /Dhania mix
1 ½ to 2 tsp
Salt
To taste
Oil
3 Tbsp
Curry leaves
10-15 nos
Coriander leaves        ( chopped)
1 tbsp
Tip :
Red Chilly  & Dhania Powder mix :: 100 : 150 gms.
Method :
  • Deshell (remove the shell) the prawns and wash thoroughly and drain the excess water.
  • Add little salt & turmeric coat/mix well keep aside.
  • Chop the Onion into fine pieces, chop the tomatoes into thin small slices.
  • Place Kadai /Wok heat the oil, add chopped onions & Curry leaves fry till light brown
  • Add chopped tomatoes , ginger-garlic paste mix well and add turmeric, Red chilly /Dhania powder and salt (approx 1 tsp flat)
  • Fry till soft and oil leaves the sides. Now add prawns mix well and cover cook for 5-10 minutes stirring in between.
  • If needed little water could be added, if so required. Check the salt
  • Finish with chopped coriander leaves.


Tip : Cooking in low flame tastes better.
