Fresh Peas Masala (Gravy)



Fresh Peas Masala ( Gravy)  [ Normally served with Pulao, Bread, Bun, Roti  & Chapatti]
Ingredients:

Fresh Green peas
1 Cup
Onion
1 Big
Bangalore Tomato
1 Big
Green Chilly
1 Small
Ginger –Garlic Paste
½  tsp
Turmeric
2-3 Pinch
Red chilly/Dhania Mix
½ to ¾ tsp
Garam Masala (ready mix)
½  tsp
Jeera powder
½ tsp
Jeera (Whole)
½ tsp
Salt
To taste
Oil
2  tbsp
Mint Leaves
5-6 nos
Coriander leaves (Chopped)
2  tbsp
Tip :
Red Chilly  & Dhania Powder mix :: 100 : 150 gms.
Method :
  • Wash green peas and keep aside
  • Chop Onion into fine pieces, chop tomato into small pieces, Cut green chilly into fine pieces.
  • Place Kadai /Wok, pour Oil  and when it is hot add whole Jeera allow it to splutter.
  • Now add green chilly, followed by Onion and fry till pink. Lower the flame.
  • Add chopped tomato along with ginger-garlic paste, chopped mint leaves, mix well , further add turmeric, red chilly /Dhania mix, ½ tsp salt, Garam Masala powder & Jeera Powder.
  • Fry till is becomes soft and oil leaves the sides. Now add green peas mix well
  • Cover and cook for 2-3 minutes, now add ½  cup of water mix well and cook further till the   peas becomes soft & tender.
  • If needed little water can be added. Check the salt, Garnish/Finish with chopped coriander leaves

Tip : Cooking in low flame tastes better.
